Weekly Commitments
I am retired and so can very much plan my week myself but I am often called upon to look after my Granddaughter. My wife has depression and so a lot of my training is carried out early morning for instance my long weekend run may be 6:30-9:00am if I am running 12-13 miles. With my Ironman training I have my sessions written down but fit them in when I am able to.

Recent Training
I am currently training for Ironman Calella-Barcelona in October and so my training at the moment is focused on this event. I swim 3 times a week including a 2.5km+ open water swim each week; I run 4 times a week with my long run either Saturday or Sunday which is anything from 6 to 14 miles at a 11:30-12:00 minute/mile pace (HR average 135bpm) depending on who I run with and I cycle 3 times a week (indoor on a Smart trainer as I have previously been knocked of my bike on the road) of which 2 ‘rides’ are technical and 1 as a long ride at Ironman pace which for me is 130W and an average of 17mph. I do very little strength and conditioning work though.
